Fast Spelling
Word uses wavy red underlines
to indicate possible spelling errors and
wavy green underlines to indicate possible
grammatical errors. If you right click
on the underlined word you will see a menu
from which you can select the correction
you want.
Adding A Cover Page To A Word Document
You have just finished
a long Word document and you want to add a
cover page. All you have to do is:
Go to the beginning of your document and
press Ctrl+Enter
This automatically enters a page break
Then all you do is push the up arrow and
hit Enter
Now you have added a page to the front of
your document, and you can develop your cover
page.
Quick Selections
When working in Word,
you can select a single word in your document
by double-clicking it. You can select a
paragraph by triple-clicking anywhere in
the paragraph. This can be useful when
you are cutting and pasting, or if you
want to spell check a single word or paragraph.
Customise A Bulleted List
Nothing adds that personal
touch to a document like customised bullets
for a list. To do this simply:
Select a bulleted list and right click
the selection
This opens a menu, from which you select
Bullets and Numbering
When this box opens click Customize
This opens yet another dialog box named
Customize Bulleted List
Click bullet to open the Symbol character
map, and select the bullet symbol you want,
and click OK
At the top of this screen you can also
select from a library of characters to
broaden the choices you have
Back in the Customize Bulleted List dialog
box you can change the size, colour, etc
When you are all done, click OK twice,
and the bulleted list will be changed to
the way you want it
